Q: How much does it cost?
A: Our clinical staff will determine the level of care (Urgent versus Emergency) that is most appropriate for your condition. Emergency Room/Urgent Care charges will include a physician fee, a facility charge and a charge for any tests or procedures that were conducted.
Q: How long will I have to wait to see a physician?
A: Emergency Room patients are always seen first and our goal is to see every Urgent Care patient as quickly as possible. If your condition changes or your symptoms become severe, please speak to a nurse. At times, Emergency Care patient volume increases, causing wait times to lengthen. We do monitor wait times and make every effort to ensure a speedy visit. We also provide bedside registration to ensure prompt care and collect required registration information.
Q: What is Urgent Care?
A: Urgent Care is defined as care that is needed for a “bothersome” illness or injury, such as minor coughs, colds or sprains. The injury or illness is not life threatening and waiting for care will not cause a significant risk to the patient. Urgent Care hours are 9 am to 9 pm, seven days a week.
Q: Why did my bill have Emergency Services billing when I asked to be seen in Urgent Care?
A: Your status depends on your medical condition and the physician’s examination. Not all services are provided under Urgent Care billing. Please review the prior question for the definition of Urgent Care.
