Wellness is about more than the absence of illness and injury. It’s about living the best life you can live.
The National Wellness Institute defines wellness as “an active process through which people become aware of, and make choices toward, a more successful existence.”
At Tomah Memorial Hospital, we want to help you make healthier choices by being your wellness resource. If you have suggestions on how we can better serve you, please let us know.

SPECIAL FLU SHOT CLINICS With a possible early start to this year’s flu season, the Warrens Clinic will offer special flu shot clinics every Tuesday and Friday throughout October and into November until Nov. 20. Flu shots will be available Tuesdays from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. and Fridays from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends a yearly flu vaccine for everyone six months of age and older. Officials say it takes about two weeks after vaccination for antibodies that protect against the flu to develop in the body. In addition to the seasonal flu shot, health care officials urge good hand washing and to stay away from others who are sick. If you are sick, consider staying home to prevent spreading flu to others.
