Auxiliary Organization

For more than 30 years the Tomah Memorial Auxiliary has supported Tomah Memorial Hospital through various projects and the contribution of funds the result of various events and operations at its retail facilities.

The Hospital's Auxiliary organization is proud to sponsor and staff its Gift Shop located in the Hospital's Lobby. A variety of items are for sale in the shop, including the famous hand-made quilts that are sewn by the Auxiliary's Sew & Sew Club.

In addition, an Auxiliary-staffed thrift store, called the A.B.C. Store offers donated items for sale to the community. The public is encouraged to support the store through donations of new or used clothing and shoes. The store DOES NOT accept furniture, large appliances, and electronics, including TVs. Donations can be left inside the donation box located behind the store located at 1104 Superior Ave., in downtown Tomah.

The Auxiliary's Christmas Bazaar is held at the hospital in December each year and is open to the public. Handcrafted items and other items are for sale at this event.

The organization contributes proceeds from the sales at the various functions mentioned above to the Hospital for specified needs. Auxiliary funds are used to purchase patient equipment and other needed items, sponsor healthcare-related education scholarships and support a number of other fine programs.

The election of officers of the organization is held each year when certain positions expire on a rotating basis. The officers and hospital administration work closely together to achieve goals for the improvement of Tomah Memorial Hospital. Auxiliary members have the opportunity to participate in district meetings and, at times, host those meetings as well.

The Auxiliary organization of the Hospital meets monthly, except for the summer months. Membership is open to anyone interested.
