TMH Blood Drive

Tomah Memorial Hospital

Area residents are encouraged to give blood during a drive in the lower level classrooms at Tomah Memorial Hospital, 321 Butts Avenue. To donate blood, a person must be in good health, at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and have photo identification. Donors can contact Kari Steinhoff at Tomah Memorial Hospital at 374-6605 to schedule an appointment, although walk-ins are welcome.

 

August  2008 Education & Events

National Night Out
August 5, 2008
4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Area Law enforcement and safety officials invite you to attend the 6th Annual Monroe County National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Winnebago Park in Tomah. There is no charge for the event, which will include demonstrations and displays throughout the evening. Children and teens through 15 years of age can qualify for prizes and learn safety lessons for riding a bicycle or roller blades during the Tomah Police Department “Bike and Blading Safety Expo” from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Registration will begin at 4:00 p.m. The MedLink Air Helicopter is scheduled to land in Winnebago Park at 5:00 p.m., weather permitting. The Tomah Police K-9 Unit will present a live demonstration at 6:00 p.m.  A mock traffic crash, complete with the use of the “Jaws of Life” will held at 7:00 p.m. and involve fire and rescue units from several Monroe County agencies. Various exhibits and informational booths will be located throughout the park. Visitors are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to support the Tomah Neighbor to Neighbor Food Pantry. Food and refreshments will also be available for sale.  

National Night Out is held across the country and designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, while strengthening neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.

 

TMH Community Outreach American Red Cross Certified Babysitting Courses
