Grief Support

Grief and loss can happen to all of us when we lose someone who is close to us. It is normal to grieve, but it can be difficult and painful. That's where we come in.

A JOURNEY THROUGH GRIEF
Tomah Memorial Hospital offers help to people who have had losses with a grief series called “A Journey Through Grief”. This eight-week support group series is held twice a year in Tomah and Adam- Friendship and is open to anyone in the community. It provides practical tools, education and emotional support to help people realize that their grief is a normal reaction to the loss and is not forgetting their loved one but actually remembering their loved one with less pain and more joy.

Contact the Hospice Office at (608)374-0250 for more information.

 LOVELIGHT HOLIDAY REMEMBRANCE PROGRAMS
The Lovelight holiday remembrance program is held every year in Tomah and Mauston at the start of the holiday season to give people in the community the opportunity to purchase a light on a remembrance tree. A card can be sent to family members to let them know that you purchased a light to honor their loved one and give them the details of the Lovelight ceremony--a short program with the reading of names and music followed by the lighting of the tree and refreshments.

The 2013 Mauston Lovelight program will be held Nov 24  beginning at 6: 30 pm in the classrooms at Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston.

The 2013 Tomah Lovelight program will be held Dec. 1  beginning at 6: 30 pm in the classrooms at Tomah Memorial Hospital.
